Church starts music school
CHILDREN and parents from the South gathered at New Apostolic Church, Towerby during the launch of Maketse Music School on Saturday, February 4.
Maketse means ‘be astonished’ in Sesotho, and it is a music initiative by the South Rand District of the New Apostolic Church in Johannesburg. It aims to fire up imaginations while creating excitement, joy, and fun for children and adults alike.
Let’s uplift one another
A GROUP of youngsters in the South have started a project where they help disadvantaged communities with their day-to-day challenges.
They work with volunteers under the leadership of a non-profit organisation, Lethabo La Africa. These young volunteers are assisting these communities with issues such as hunger, shortages of educational resources, lack of health care medication and the negative impact that environmental pollution causes for human beings
Muddy fun for the ladies
Muddy princess took place in the South this past Sunday 11 September 2016 at Rietvlei Zoo farm. Ladies from all over got dirty and had a fun day out. Muddy Princess is the first South African obstacle mud run for women only and caters for all kinds of fitness levels – as long as participants can crawl, walk, run, climb, laugh and play.
